Thandolwami retires.

After giving us many years of enjoyment, the highlight having a runner in The Vodacom July and our trips to JHB with him, we have decided to give him his well earned retirement. Thanks Boy we had a great time.Enjoy your days in the paddock.

A few for him as he ran 3rd in a group 1 and a couple of 2nds in Group 2's and 3's and only won a listed in the end but still won over a million. Loved to have won a group race with him.

Craig
Is this horse injured?
If so then sad to see him retire.
if not
Please explain to me how horses in the UK can race as old as 8/9/10 and horses in sa are retired relatively young?

sorry to hear that, hope he has a long happy retired life.
now last week i saw a horse make his comeback after 1032 days , what is the longest a horse has been "rested" in SA and then made a comeback?

if you walk the racetracks of the uk and of sa plus the training tracks you will soon realise the wear and tear is far more in sa than the uk...he deserves his retirement crai g well done to you for his racing career

Thank you Pirates. Been a privilage to train him. Will probably spend the rest of his days at the Shongweni Club when we find the right person to ride and look after him.
