Footballers from around the world have voiced their concern and support for Bolton midfielder Fabrice Muamba following his collapse at White Hart Lane on Saturday.
Muamba collapsed in the 41st minute of Bolton's FA Cup quarter-final against Tottenham, with the match abandoned after the player received treatment on the pitch from paramedics.
The club have confirmed the 23-year-old is "critically ill" in intensive care at the heart attack centre of the London Chest Hospital.
Both sets of fans chanted the player's name as he was being treated on the pitch and Tottenham forward Rafael van der Vaart and Muamba's team-mate Tuncay Sanli both prayed for the former Arsenalplayer.
Footballers have taken to Twitter to express their support and wish the midfielder well.
"Praying for you Fab. Hope he's OK. Thoughts with him and his family. For all those asking, I know as much as you do. Waiting anxiously for updates from teammates. Fab is a fighter!" - Bolton midfielder Stuart Holden
"Terrible what happened with Muamba during the game. We're all praying for him." - Tottenham playmaker Van der Vaart
"I seriously hope my best friend in football is OK. Stay strong bro please please stay strong. God is with you remember that." - Middlesbrough defender Justin Hoyte, who came through the Arsenal youth system with Muamba.
"Pray for Fab. God willing he will pull through." - Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe
"All our hearts with Fabrice Muamba, one of my closest friends at Bolton. I'm shocked, wishing him a fast recovery." - Wigan's former Bolton goalkeeper Ali Al Habsi
"Hope Fabrice Muamba is OK. Praying for him and his family. Still in shock." - Manchester Unitedstriker Wayne Rooney
"My thoughts are with Fabrice Muamba's family. We all are praying for him and hope for a speedy recovery." - Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor
"Doesn't matter who you support. Doesn't matter if you aren't a football fan. Doesn't matter if you aren't religious. Pray for Fabrice Muamba." - Tottenham defender Kyle Walker
"I'm so sad about what happened to Fabrice Muamba today. Played with him for a couple of years. What a great guy. Always a smile on his face. Please Fabrice bring that smile back. My thoughts are with you and your lovely family!" - Arsenal captain Robin van Persie
"Spurs vs Bolton means nothing! FA Cup means nothing! Football means nothing! Right now Fabrice Muamba is everything!! #PrayForMuamba" - Liverpool striker Andy Carroll
"My thoughts are with Fabrice and his family. Stay strong mate. Our prayers are with you." - Barcelona's former Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas
"Unbelievable what happened today!! Fabrice Muamba my thoughts are with you and your family. I will keep praying and hope you will be ok!!!" - Liverpool forward Dirk Kuyt
The Football Association also took to Twitter to release a short statement, which read: "Our thoughts and prayers are with Fabrice Muamba and his family right now. A wonderful person."

Very disturbing and similar to what happens to the euqine athletes.
What is more disturbing though is
www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/mar/19/...twitter-troll-prison
Ninja from Die Antwoord funnily enough commented in an interview that the US and Europe are far more racist than SA is. He noted that at least we have had chance to deal with it (in the open) whereas it is bubbling under the surface in the US and Europe.
Simple solution from the hic club - "Just Say No to liquid lunches and internet access!" or choose one or the other!
