are you guys serious to mention g lerena,r fourie,k teetan,m yeni in same breath as honest karl and g hatt?those youngsters are miles behind believe me.they can ride winners wen they hv armchair rides but they not in same class as kn&gh.m yeni is avg at best,g lerena is a poor jock who is getting good mounts and messing up most the way i see it.teetan has huge potential but not finished article yet.r fourie abt best of ones mentioned and if given chance should be top jock in a few yrs.this game is all abt opinions and if you guys ask the top trainers what jocks they would rather hv on their horses, believe me most would rather hv honest karl or g hatt.even a marcus rode in cape yrs ago and he couldnt ride a winner in 2months.in fact i dont even rate a marcus in same league as honest karl.delpech well he is very good and 1 of few honest jocks around in sa.

Who do you rate as an up and coming jockey in SA.
In UK the good young riders who claim 5lb are often used on horses primed to run well.
William Buick is a good example,when he claimed 5lb he was on a lot of gambled ones.

II also like Buick, his ride on Dream Ahead on arc day was brilliant, I think Harry Bentley is very promising, Amy Ryan, Daniel Tudhope and Justin Newman could become decent Jockey. As for the top Jockeys, I rate Silvestre De Sousa as the best around followed by Ryan Moore.

Having followed this thread with interest,I feel a really strong and determined Raymond Danielson deserve a mention too.
My opinion is that G Hatt,K Neisius and Felix should all be mentioned as in the same league and what they may lack in strenght
is very ably accounted for by class and ability...

@ravin,...I used to look for those same little things you talk about,and it does sometimes give you that extra gut feeling, right?
sometimes it works!!! LOL

If I had the time I would still be doing that.
