Arga do you remember when United played in the World Cup Champs a few years ago, Ferguson asked the English FA if Man Utd could not play in the Carling Cup. Next year it was the only silverware Utd could get close to and all of a sudden to Ferguson the Carling Cup was a "huge trophy" to win. I guess you are a Man Utd supporter and your long term manager deemed it as such .

I rather have the Carling cup in our Cabinet than no cup this season..
And ill be truthful for a team that hasn't won a cup since the FA cup in 2006, trust me every1 when when I say as a Liverpool fan, the delight I got when Gerrard lifted the cup was as if we have lifted the Champions League again.
Maybe it is because we haven't been playing as well as Man United in the past 10years,n urLl hv lifted many a cup, but be it a Minor cup or Major cup when it means something to the team, as it did to Liverpool supporters and players it should be respected..they set out to win that cup and they did.
@Agra I suppose if Man U wins the Europa Cup it will be deemed as a Major cup?

Shrek
I cannot wait for the old man to retire.
I know a lot of supporters will not agree but he is the reason that we have lost a lot of games including our early exit from the Champions League. I can not fathom his team selections sometimes.
Persists with "hasbeens' in the side. Scholes..............Faark. he was the original cause of the equalizer.

What a team MAN UNITED is, did you guys not see there ''never die attitude'' against Norwich... This is all thanks to Sir Alex and the culture he has bred into United... What a team....
... You see this is the difference between United and Pool, a average United team will still challenge for the Premier League Title while average Liverpool teams will have to contend with 5th or 6th spot...
<
Oh yes, well done to Pool on there trophy....

Liverpool wont kick on from here as they are simply not good enough to compete with the two Manchester clubs
