Soodum, exactly the same with me at Spectramed, also had 2 stents inserted. Account R180 000. Spectramed reckoned I had Hyperthermia which I hadn't reported when I joined. They rejected the bill, and even resigned my from the fund.

After the dec holidays i got back to jhb with a painful left elbow,my gp reckon it was tennis elbow from all the fishing and prescribed schedule 5 anti inflammatories ,i reckon i must sue him for false diagnosis as the pain was a result of a blocked artery

Soodum, what u must do is take all past diagnoses and esp this DR's files and compile a portfolio of evidence which will back you up stating that no heart problem was detected before and during the signing up process with Discovery.
And therefore they will be breaching the contract between u and them.
That is what gets to me with insurances and med aids, every month without a problem, but when a problem arises we get all sorts of excuses as to why they can't pay out..
They are worse than bookies.lol.
Please try this mate, much better than paying R100k for no reason.
Money due2 u must be payed

I've discovered the hard way - in fact, not by stealth -
That XXXcovery dealings can compromise health.
You profess in the media to be open and fair
Bur experience shows me that's spin and hot air.
My BP, for example, is deemed to be high
I could have a stroke, end up crippled - or die!
My QUALIFIED doctor says "Pritor, it's chronic" -
I trust in her judgement, HER care is a tonic.
Your accountants, however, know better than she,
Pay merely a fraction, the rest's up to me.
My savings, it seems, do not cover the balance
My pensioner's pittance must your profits enhance.
Furthermore friend - here I'm being sarcastic -
Well, you think that my pocket is made of elastic!
Two Betoptic drops daily and I won't lose my sight
An opthalmic doc told me, an expert - all right?
Once more though it seems your CA's overrule
Think the medical experts have heads stuffed with wool.
They dictate what I must use, then penalise me
For respecting my doctors - and all for a FEE...
... THAT YOU SHOULD NOT BE CHARGING (IF INTEGRITY RULES)
In your office so posh you must take us for fools
If you think we believe that your clients you favour
When we know that it's bonuses -BIG - that you savour.
Shortsightedness sadly, is matched by your greed
As preventative measures you will not concede...
... cost less in the long run, so why won't you pay
ALL of chronic prescriptions as this will allay...
... Death and serious illness - as DOCTORS well know
Your clients will love you, call you friend and not foe.
It's beyond comprehension, in fact, it's moronic
How you undermine doctors and prejudice chronic.
It's also disgraceful that my BP has soared
from the pressure produced by your lack of accord.
I'm used to such treatment from our kak parastatels
With a true health care group I should not have such battles.
I agree that this literary effort is tripe
But that doesn't lessen the depth of it's gripe.
Your attention I'm seeking, and this I contend -
On your best of intentions I cannot depend.
The least I expect is a timely reply
from you, not a lackey, and kindly don't lie
Just honestly tell me - I'm already upset
WHY THE MORE THAT I PAY YOU, THE LESS BACK I GET?
PS
I've just read the letter you sent to the STAR
It's all gobbledy gooky - finish and klaar.
I'm an Hons Grad in English and I haven't a clue
what you're trying to say - but here's what you do -
Confuse us with waffle and jargon and baskets
Just stick to plain English so we won't blow a gasket!
