how are the rides in these grooms races decided ? Do trainers just nominate ? Or by draw ??

If they do race - has been raining at the Vaal I hear and more rain predicted - we are expecting an improved run from Star Rating - 'in the first 3'

Has been raining most of the night but Pretoria is a fair trek, don't fancy the card.all the best with Star Rating and any others with runners.

All the best with Star Rating Frodo, forms a strong coupling with Rodeo Dandy...(tu)

Very overcast here. Pen reading ave 24, so good to soft.

Frodo, I like your draw. And Ruby King been claimed, drawn next to you...

I will be happy with places my two. The wet does bother me with both my runners, but if Soul Sister settles, she will go close. As for The Great Caruso, I cant be confident today or ever. He is the type who will win a race one day.....hopefully soon.

Looks like a day for the "die hard" punters at the Vaal.
Will concentrate in the Cape. Small fields but a decent punting card.

There is some decent value to be had at the Vaal Agra. I did like Menorah but it does not enjoy sticky ground so that gets scrapped.

No, it must be a mistake. Although the PE guy (currently injured) is also known as Charles, but the Charles Ndlovu who rides in work riders' race is the teenage son of the late Petrus "Yeke" Ndlovu and comes very highly rated by James Maree. Unfortunately he is a big lad and there seems to be not much chance that he will follow in his father's footsteps and turn pro.
