A 2 year old colt by Empire Maker called Exothermic made his debut at Gulfstream Park yesterday and won by more than 2 lengths, unfancied at 58/1!!!

Barry you must be proud of her!!!

First foal, first runner, first winner!!

Congrats! {just by the bye I was curious to see another horse called Bill of Rights ran in the same race ... pacemaker ... weakened out of it at the end. Who remembers THE Bill of Rights and his taxi-driver owner? ... one of SA racing's best heartwarmers in recent years imho}

Taxi drivers have luck in horseracing, there was a taxi driver in france who also owned a very good horse that won many group races

Bad Company, I think you mean Australia and the horse's name was Takeover Target. Bought for something like Aus $1100 unraced and went on to win a day's load of major sprint races all around the world.

Mav the owner Jonathan (I think and cant remember hi alias off hand) used to be a regular contributor to this site until the personal insults and unfounded rumours and accusations were thrown his way. He then stopped posting.

A good example of some of the negative that comes out of speculation on a forum such as this.

What a pity ... what is it drives some people to want to pull others down?

BoR was a lovely beast ... won quite a few Graded races if I remember ... I think he was actually leased, but I don't remember the finer details. I do remember he never got to the "proper" sales because he broke his knee badly as a youngster and the breeder considered putting him down, then changed his mind for some reason. In the old end he became arguably the best son of Suamarez.

Probably the same thing that makes people stop at the site of an accident and stare! They want to be the 1st to tell their friends what they have seen.

If iam not mistaken BOR won the stayers race on D News day from a very wide draw...Diamond Quest was the best Suamarez...both trained by Bass
