I know of at least one bookies' firm that doesn't do this...enough favorites get beaten by themselves to satisy any except the greediest layer.

you guys heard the one about a race, 10 horses in the field so this one jock goes to 8 of the the other jockeys, persuade them to pull their mounts, so the one who left out thinks he will teach them a lesson, because he wasn't approached, so he goes on to win the race. After the race in the jocks room he goes to him and says he poked them in the eye for letting him out, so they all laughed and said " don't worry mate all of our money were on you!!!!!!!!" LOL(

"Milczarek has been hit with a two-year ban for passing on information for reward ".
The above is such common practise in SA that we would have no jocks left if they were prosecuted here.

Lol ..........but true.
I have no problem with jocks having a punt.
They probably get someone else to do it for them.

I read the autobiography of Ginger Mcain, trainer of the immortal Red Rum,in it he recalls a similiar story of 6 trainers and jocks plotting to make the biggest outsider in a 7 horse field to win, they all agreed to hold back their horses and let the other win,and they pulled of a massive coup
