Thx GB, I see one of the others was also scratched. I'd be doing well if we were trying to pick scratchings.8-)

what would you think about only sand racing for August and the first two weeks of September - not big crowds at Turffs anyway - give all the grass a rest and look at having less sand racing when the going is good - just a thought - Grass racing in Cape to complement?

A tough card again imo - and I know it is not the creme da la creme racing, but much better than nothing. Some thoughts:

R1: Cherie Boy probably better this trip - I like the swinger with Scientist
R2: Aztec Gold still value imo
R3: Very weak - Western Day at least is sure to stay and looks like a PA banker to me
R4: Very open - agree with gregb this is a field race - Catechuchu should find the first 3 at least - if you're looking for a real lunatic, include Majestic Lites who (although she only managed 1 win from 60 starts) holds Catechuchu on the run behind Or Els
R5: Mother's Eyes obvious claims, but not sure to stay, so 15/10 very cramped - African Icon much better value imo, and Elodie an obvious inclusion as well
R6: I'm not sure that sprinting is Fenerbache's forte - and Oh Driscoll also best over 1400 imo - so Commisionerstreet very good value here
R7: We have Laurel Canyon here - obviously hoping for a win, but she is probably better over 1000 and she is held by Silver Forest on the run behind Skyblade, so a placing is probably more realistic - most of the others have some sort of chance imo
R8: Another tough handicap - Obvious Intentions likes this trip and seems good value, but Dubai Rainbow, Calpurnius, Top Class and Where's My Chop have 'obvious' claims as well.
R9: Danger Man just held on last time, but he still holds a few that he beat last time and I think Striker willl suit him - I make him the one to beat again - can't have Monsieur, but will probably include the Zackey coupling as backup in the P6

Play well
