Never done Island racing before so here goes. I have a few q's but will leave that for another thread.

Golden Trophy - INTERCONTINENTAL: unbeaten in last four including the Mauritian Gr1 Derby beating Acuppa the favourite for this race by half length (same weight differential); in his penultimate race he beat the runner-up who was a subsequent winner; Winning Form "top chance again at the weights"; Winning Form shows both jockey and trainer in hot form; I don't understand why he is so easy to back at 4's.

I would charter a private plane, but after last week's tragedy I'd rather not. A sobering thought has occurred to me about that accident. I was at the TBA sales ground on Sunday morning and I'm sure I saw two identical planes take off one after the other (which is a fairly unusual sight even at busy Rand airport). I have a sinking feeling it was the ill-fated duo. Either way, RIP.

Fenerbache looks good - i wonder why he's been tried over ground for so long - i think this horse is best between 1200-1600 - how they though he would do 3000m is amazing

Leg 2: 1,3
Leg 3: 1
Leg 4: Banker 3
Leg 5: Flat 2,4,6,8
Leg 6: 1,3,7,10,11

Nothing contagious in the Peter stable. Muscle problems and other regular horse ailments are the reasons for scratchings. Bad luck and coincidence, really.
