From scotia post, some good racing!
Some big races to look forward to at the York Ebor meeting:
Wed 17th they have the Great Voltigeur where Seville 13/10 will have plenty cheek from Sea Moon and Namibian, the International Stakes where Await the Dawn can win again however with Midday and Twice Over in the race it should be a cracker.
Thur 18th has the Yorkshire Oaks where I make Blue Bunting a good thing at 5/2.
Nunthorpe is on the Friday and Hoof It, Bapak Chinta and Sole Power will head the betting at around 5/1
The Ebor is always a nightmare for punters and Saturdays show piece will be around 8/1 the field with fancied runners include Lost In The Moment, Saptapadi and Modum

Cecil: I made Midday decision, not Queally
BY STUART RILEY AND DAVID BAXTER 4:50PM 16 AUG 2011
HENRY CECIL said on Tuesday the booking of stable jockey Tom Queally to partner Midday is not an indication that Queally feels the filly has a better chance of landing the Juddmonte International than stablemate Twice Over.

The recently knighted trainer claims it was he who decided that Queally would partner Midday rather than Twice Over, who he has ridden on his last 20 starts, following suggestions that Queally riding Midday was an endorsement of her claims over those of Twice Over.
"I decided which jockey would ride which horse," said Cecil. "It's not a question ofTom Queally having chosen Midday. He has won six Group 1 races on her and I feel he should ride her again."
On the decision to book Ian Mongan to ride Twice Over, Cecil added: "Ian Mongan rides very well and he gets on very well with Twice Over. He is a very good horseman, very strong and always in the right place. If he had better rides I think he would be very high up in the list. He is my second jockey, I'm very lucky to have him and I like to support him as much as I can."
Khalid Abdullah, who owns both horses, sponsors the 1m2f Group 1 under the banner of his breeding operation but has never one the race - a factor in his decision to run Midday in the race rather than Thursday's Yorkshire Oaks, which she won last year.

"Prince Khalid has won a Yorkshire Oaks or two and so has Henry," Teddy Grimthorpe, racing manager to Abdullah, said. "The way Midday won a very competitive Nassau Stakes gives us encouragement that she might be able to beat the colts this time.
"Henry has always considered her better in the summer months and I hope she will show that again. A good galloping track like York suits her and the distance of the race looks perfect."
York's four-day Ebor festival is set to start on going described as good to soft, good in places with a largely dry forecast for the duration of the meeting.
After a total of 6.4 millimetres of rain had fallen at the track through Monday and the early part of Tuesday, clerk of the course William Derby said the ground was "predominantly good to soft."
He added: "The ground on the home and north bends is mainly good and, after being damp last night and this morning, it has been a bright and dry day. We are forecast a dry night and a sunny day tomorrow [Wednesday].""
The outlook for the four days is generally good, with no rain scheduled until Thursday evening. A Met Office spokesman said on Wednesday: "The forecast is for things tostay dry through Tuesday night and Wednesday with fairly light winds. There is an area of rain to the south on Thursday which could move in on Thursday night and Friday morning. That will clear away to leave pleasant sunshine Friday.
"Saturday could be slightly cloudier with perhaps some light rain. Temperatures are forecast to be between 18 and 22C for the rest of the week into the weekend."
For the first two days of the meeting, the rail will be moved out three metres from 1m4f to the entrance of the home straight adding 20 yards [18 metres] to race distances over 1m.
The rail will then be moved to the traditional racing line on Friday and Saturday to provide fresh ground.
