In the early 1970's I was standing next to the greatest trainer Syd Laird.. (imvho)....and he said to us,,,,Most people dont know what lead is in the bags that the jockeys are carrying....??? ..... Dont know if its the same to-day as I havent been there for years....Made me think....hope it does the same for you.. !!!!!!!!!!!!

Just to clarify, NO Fish (Ian Sturgeon) was not "sleeping", he landed in Moscow this morning and ride there tomorrow night at a meeting after receiving an invite. He pre-arranged with Paul that he will unforunately miss the official gallops.

I believe the sale is after lunch 2day.Safwan did make GD look very good.

Mdk still confuses me yet again. With so many runners in the big race,IGUGU paces it out with a filly!!!.

Wishfull thinking to those that want a re-broadcast of the gallops.perhaps after the July in one of those ' winning packages'

To Gregbucks,u have the ability 2 pick winners.Get involved in a racehorse, maybe next year will make yr 1st appearance as an owner.

On the times alone; going 1800 and producing a final 400 of less than 23 seconds surely very good - so LiW and Bravura stand out on that - but who knows how much weight was in the saddle bags and how much they had left, so to pick a winner on the gallops is just a guessing game imo
