French Derby

Looks a better race than the English Derby are you getting pictures? CARD
Roderick Oconnor gubbed 38L by Frankel in the 2000 Guineas bounced back and won the Irish Version and if he stays must have a chance(4/1).Casamento won the Racing Post Trophy and was one of the horses i fancied over the winter for the Epsom Derby and at 8/1 is my selection.(plus he was only gubbed 36L by frankel lol)

I see France is on the schedule for today. Hopefully we get the whole card and it is Chantilly and not some goat track in the Pyrenees.

Yes we got the same racecall ... LOL! The commentator was awfully embarrassed ... I took a look at the Sporting post website a minute later and they had both "results" posted as winning the French Derby - first one then the other - obviously it is posted the instant the caller calls the winner across the line .... but it wasn't the winner, haha!
The TV coverage of the race unfortunately had to compete with a race in Turffies (we got a fascinating view of the horses walking steadily towards the starting gate), plus footers with the odds on the next races at Turffies and Kenilworth, plus a header that informed us that the French Derby is run over 2200 m (I thought it was 2100 m? But im only an ignarint membr of the publik). The total area for the big race coverage was about 6 X 8 inches, and that's on my large-size TV. On a small TV it would have been about as big as the palm of yer hand so good luck trying to follow the colours of your fancy, specially when the racecaller gets it wrong anyway.
Ghaaaaa!!

Greg are you psi-kick? How did you know my school nickname (loooong ago!) was Horsie? As for inches, yes I'm an old-fashioned dame and certain thingies I'm used to measuring in inches, ahem!
