A similar unedited email was sent to Scotia and CM - I have posted below as it applies to all of you
Thank you very much for extending your sympathies and this betting voucher. I feel quite awkward accepting this, but also do not want to come across as ungrateful. Somewhere inside it seems unfair for me to forget and find joy in racing or betting. What has helped most was the posts and advice on ABC. It certainly did help to put some perspective on this mess.
My sister’s boyfriend flew back from the rigs today. I spoke with her this afternoon and she seems to be getting stronger all the time. She is now talking future plans whereas when I first saw her yesterday she did not have the will or desire to carry on with life. I cannot stop hugging my own child Ruby and thanking God for what I have.
Some may view my post as inappropriate but under the circumstances and some of our own bitching and moaning about how we always seem to be getting done in, maybe it wasn’t.
CM thanks. When I am in a bit of better frame of mind I will give Winning Streak a call. Thanks for this man and thanks to all of you for just listening. This is most important.
As I have said above, the emotional support on ABC is enough and I really don’t need anything more from the people on the forum. Again I do not want to come across as ungrateful but I really feel awkward accepting anything from anyone. I don’t want my post to appear as an appeal for assistance. This was never the intention of it and I am sorry if it came across this way.
My sister and I have been through enough to know that we should not dwell in the negative and I assure you we will both bounce back, twice as strong.
Again guys, thanks for everything.

Some folks are really king-hearted. It's lovely to see this exchange on ABC. You guys really do try to support each other ... do you realise how rare this is in the blogworld? Some blogs I've read (and even contributed to ... cricket mainly) you can't even post a message without someone lashing out at you and trying to pull you down. Here you feel free to share personal troubles and tragedies and everyone pitches in with condolences .... AMAZING!

There is humanity in all of us.....only some don't attempt to be human enough to notice;
MOST OF US HERE DO!
God bless! Go well Alcaponee..... and your family!
