No MDK in Dubai next season?

Seemingly due to AHS he might not be making the trip next year?

That would be a disaster I am sure the guys/fans are already planning the SA trip!

But he has so many horses there already...

Im sure Mike will buy overseas..I doubt whether any of the current local champs will make the trip

Horses have had to be quarantined on route, every year,anyway.
Have they changed the quarantine conditions&/or period?

Does that mean that the Queens Plate $1m race is also in jeopardy?

Capetown quarantine has an AHS outbreak,so to send a team from SA they would have to go to Dubai via The Island,UK,total of 6 months

Was it ever real?

I was kind of hoping Magic and I know there were more than a few internationals who were hoping too!!!!

Anyway just another promise......

If an outbreak of AHS occurs in a no-risk area ,I have to assume that it was brought in .......how the F^$& does that happen?
If it has occurred due to somebody's negligence,the liability should be millions!

We at New Turf continually abide by the very strict rules regarding transport of horses into the Western Cape from infected zones. At the moment no horses are allowed directly in without quarentine regulations at certain points. At this time of the year it starts costing us a lot of money as people who dont want to wait do things off their own bat. However during early May a WC trainer took his string directly back to WC from Gauteng with another transporter who should have known better than to take horses without their relevant State and Local Vet Permits......

What happens now......
