I posted my selection for vaal after cut off time which i was unaware of due to work. Can i post a selection for greyville or not?

Rule states you cant post two selections.

Well... I am asuming your first one is gona be ignored...
So post it either way... And let the boss deceide....
I am sure he will take your second one...

Here's a way around it .
1. You know that your first posting will be ignored because it was posted late.
2. I would suggest that you edit THAT post to read the greyville selection.

3rd Umpire on this one U_D...the rules clearly states the following:

"6. Selections are to be posted no later than 5 minutes before the first race starts on the meeting you want to play.
7. You may only edit your selections BEFORE the cut-off time. This is useful if your first selection has been scratched early and you’d like to make another one.
8. If you edit your selection AFTER the cut-off time, you will get negative points even if your selection wins. So don’t do it.
9. If you place more than one selection per day, all of them will be ignored.

on 6. Tracy's Element failed
on 7. Tracey's Element falied since R8#1 to place Vaal was posted after the cutoff time., hence
on 8. negative points...
BUT on 9 it states that if you post 2 selections on the day your selection will be ignored.

As independant arbitrators the vote needs to decide...does Tracey's element get

A) Negative points according to 6,7 & 8 given the fact that R8#1 Vaal also did not plae on top
No change in his points and both selections VOID due to rule 9
c) walk away with points based on his 2nd selection R9#3 Greyville that did place??

Rules is rules and if we stick to the letter of the law it is clearly B ...?

TE's first selection was void because it was posted late, and was never edited and so no negative points apply. His second was on time and valid. Rule 9 does not apply because there was only one valid posting and not two. My decision stands.

Seems like we have a bit of disagreement between the 'powers that be'; I suggest that you guys need to sort who the sole judge is in determining the validity of selections; imo UD was the instigator of the competition and he should be the sole judge - and his decision should be final (feel the pressure UD)
