Sandown Saturday-Kings Gambit
14 years 1 month ago
Sandown stage the old Whitbread meeting, half Jumps ,half flat card today..
Dick Turpin makes his return and has a bit in hand of his rivals if fit..
Kings Gambit will like Sandowns Stiff finish imo and has a decent chance, although he does seem to be finding the 1 box difficult..
Suited and booted, can go close in the big HCP at around 20/1

"Finding the number 1 box difficult" is the understatement of the week. He's glued to the number 2 box like boerewors to a braai grate - but maybe today is his day.

I think this colt Dick Turpin could be the next Paco Boy for the Hannon yard?

Good to watch a race where not one whip was used on any of the runners.

I venture to say it was the first.....and LAST time in 17 years that Richard Hannon takes horses to Musselburgh

Unbelieveable. I thought he was dead and buried 300m out, and to be honest I thought Jamie Spencer had gone mad. I guess that's why he's the jockey and I'm not.
