Hello all,

I am trying to form a syndicate and have posted all the details on our Facebook page. Midlands Thoroughbreds on facebook.
Let me know what you think of the offer and hopefully some of you will join in.

For those of you who don't have facebook here is the offer:-

I will introduce two horses into the syndicate in return for my shares. These horses will be 1. Karrington an unraced 2YO by Modus Vivendi out of Dancing Barbie trained by Chris Erasmus at Turffontein. 2. Candy Girl an unraced 3YO by Copperbelt out of Sweet Kris trained by Pat Lunn at Summerveld. Both fillies are sound and doing well in their work.
The other 18 shareholders will contribute R20 000 each before the National Yearling sale (15-17 March 2011). This will give the syndicate R360 000 to purchase a yearling. The chosen lots are; 224,234,259,299,308,474 or547. If we cannot acquire one of these lots we do not proceed. Pedigrees can be viewed on the TBA's website.
All contributions will be held in trust by Midlands Thoroughbreds. If we are unable to acquire one of the chosen lots all monies will be refunded within 5 days. If a lot is acquired for less than R360 000 then the unspent balance will be refunded in full within 5 days.
Every shareholder will pay R1200 per month for training and keep. All vet bills will be charged out pro rate to all shareholders. Midlands Thoroughbreds will be the managing agent and keep all shareholders informed and updated on the
On the syndicate’s progress, organize the syndicates AGM between the 1 August and the 31 August each year, answer any questions posed by syndicate members on facebook daily and distribute any stakes earned by the syndicate horses. Private updates will be posted to syndicate members on races due to be run by syndicate horses. Midlands Thoroughbreds will charge 10% of the monthly contributions for managing the syndicate. Syndicate members will be entitled to attend any training gallops the syndicate horses undertake provided that Midlands Thoroughbreds is informed beforehand in order to make an appointment with the trainer
If all 18 shares are not subscribed for the syndicate will not proceed. If all 18 shares are subscribed for WE SHOULD HAVE A LOT OF FUN!!!!!

18*1200 = R21600; I assume for 3 horses = R7200 per horse per month?

Sounds a bit ridiculous to me. Definately a NO from me.

I have one. A straight deal - 40% available.

A smashing bay colt . Ashwaares out of a Goldkeeper dam called "ON Zero". "On Zero won 9 races 1200 - 1600m and placed 16 times.

Full price was R70 000.00 + Vat and add the percentage transport from Cape Town. Will be trained by Duncan.

Might take longer to come on but being out of a "Goldkeeper", might come on sooner than expected.
