Is Matthew Stevens any good?
14 years 2 months ago
I get an email from this guy every now and then, I was wondering if any of you had tried his tips and if they were any good...
Here's a copy of his latest email...
"THIS WEEK'S RACING
After more solid results last week, I have to be confident this week with the midweek cards looking so much better than they did last week. There's a Value bet on Tuesday I really fancy at around 7/1, and on Thursday I like 3 best bets very strongly - very nice card on Thursday.
Racing Calendar
Monday - Flamingo Park
Tuesday - Clairwood & Turffontein(n)
Wednesday - Durbanville
Thursday - Vaal
Friday - Fairview
Saturday - Kenilworth & Turffontein
Sunday - Clairwood

I'm thinking that if he is really so good at tipping, why does he sell them instead of just making a fortune by backing his own tips...:S

U_D I was a tipster for about 2 years till about June last year ( so now I have a view from both sides of the fence) ...stopped doing so for exactly the reason you quoted...
My advice...check who is making the money on the COMP and see their strike rate on tipping and just follow them for free ... as long as you can do the admin for us as you have so kindly done you have a free flow of information coming to you that you are able to judge based on the results of the current and preceding months...information you have due to your great admin qualities!
A WIN for all...

Tried his services once for a month in Gauteng..first meeting at Turffontein i won R2000 following his jackpot and Pa,and i was filled with confidence after this good start... but never won again with his tips..Perhaps take a membership for one of the centres and see for yourself..
Needless to say i learned a big lesson...follow your OWN instincts and follow that up with your own studying of form.

he had a good run when zaki yard was firing. But tried using him for a few months and did not win much. can take all his bets and generally miss the one that wins.

I currently have a membership with him but have given up punting for lent [40 Days]. You are welcome to see for yourself. i will give you the link ad you can check it out for nothing. My personal experience is that you have to still study on your own. He tells you when he has won but does not tell you the impact of the win. e.g. 4 top bets win for combined odd of 77/1 but he does not tell you that he gave you 5 top bets and the best one of them all got beat.
Personally i do not think that this guy punts because in my 3 months with him this year, he would be doing his boots if he punted all his punts.

The best of all the ones I have seen ... and he has not paid me for saying so. Check out his website at www.profit.co.za
He is thorough and experienced (approx 70 years old) and considers everything he says before he says it...
John & July (his wife) has been in this business for a very long time and if you do not have the time to study or the knowhow of what to look for, not a bad place to learn IMO.

Loopy
