CAPPOQUIN RETIRED.
14 years 2 months ago
After trailing in at the tail end of the field today, our star Cappoquin bled once again, and my partners Jess, Bodis and i, decided its time to retire this soldier, and find a good home for this pleasant natured gelding. This horse was a 6 time winner for us.Considering that this horse cost us a meare R45-000,and was picked by trainer eagle eye Greg Ennion, i would just like to say a special thanks to all concerned,in training and taking good care of this fine horse. This horse gave us immense pleasure on and off the track, and will be remembered as one of our great legends. After finding this gelding a good home im positive that he will get his fair share of Woolies carrots.

A suggestion Zoro use it don't use it . If you wanted to persevere with him , one of the forum members can't remember who , advised that a possible solution for bleeding is to let the horse out to pasture for 3 months or so .Maybe give it a thought who knows this may revitalize him , it seems he has not had a brake in a while .

Antsinner its a tough call, but its not only about the money,we believe that this horse needs to run around and enjoy life after what his done for us.We could all be wrong but we are also comfortable with the decission taken. At this moment a good home is our priority, and im sure something else will come along,so for Cappoquin its time to get fat and enjoy life.I believe that the next "Sheila" on this geldings back is going to have immense pleasure. We salute you almighty one.
