Yep, a legend of the game for sure! BTW, I was pleased with Magica's comeback run, especially as he apparently raced with a slipped saddle, and if Mr Ferraris can get him firing on all cylinders by the time that R2m race comes around at the end of April he could find himself in with a fighting chance.

Mr Ferraris was really upset with that loss in the big one.He surely had Magical primed to fire that day.

No trainer's horsfes in South Africa look better than his. It is a genuine pleasure to visit his stable and see the horses and what he has done with them. And I have ALWAYS found him to be the supreme gentleman.

i recall him coming to clairwood during the winter season a few years and marvelling at how well turned out his horses were...the fact that his son david mike de kock mike clements and weiho marwing have passed through his yard and gone on to achieve great success as trainers is testament to this great horseman and just as kenilworth honours its greats with a beautiful big photo board it would be nice if turfontein honoured this living legend...
