Mossman was a Gr 1 winner over 1600m as a 2yo and a Gr 2 winner over 2040m as a 3yo, which was his last season of racing. In total he won four races from 22 starts in Australia. At stud he has sired the winners of 444 races (including 23 Stakes races) from 3513 starters. His progeny by and large seem to do best up to about 1400m.

What A Winter has proved himself against vastly better opposition. RZW has obviously done everything asked of him, but he has done it against off-season fields in KZN, racing the last two times off a MR which was much lower than it should have been. It's hard to know how good he is, but if the two met in a matrch race right now there is no way I could go against What A Winter.
