Long term doubles

Hibs, if you have any smart ideas to make money from this lot, do tell.
I don't have multiple accounts with bookies, being happy to stick with Interbet.
Taking doubles on Interbet doesn't look logical though because you only get the normal odds, not the better odds on offer by the platform.
My idea instead is to take a single bet on Interbet, usually asking for better than the current odds where possible. Then, with a winning bet, the plan would be to carry over the return onto one of these longer term events. I could hold back my original stake, essentially creating a 'free bet', or a bit more to take a little profit, or none at all to have a straight double type bet.
So far, all I have on these markets is a straight bet on Man Utd in the Premiership at around 5/2.

This is a particularly 'rich' year for finding value as there are a number of events which allow punters the opportunity to build up enormous stock holdings and then trade out at a profit if so desired.
I have only glanced at the above list but here are a range of picks based SOLELY on 'value'. ( Value is a bit of a two edged sword as I can cite value all day long yet never find a winner! ). I have picked the teams concerned ONLY because they look attractively priced and should do better than their odds suggest.
ODI World Cup - England look attractive at 15/2. But beware the sub-continet.
Rugby World Cup - South Africa look best value at 11/2. Beware weather and will they regain their 2009 form?
Super 15 - Sharks look best value at 11/1.
Champions League - Man U ( puke! ) look best value at 19/2 as they are likely to contract substantially if they progress.
Met - Tales Of Bravery appeals at 10/1. Favourite looks vulnerable at weight and distance.
Although it would be pretty ambitious to go for the all to come let's work out the odds :
8,5 x 6.5 x 12 x 10,5 x 11 = 76,576 - 1 = 76,576/1
So an outlay of R 13 would potentially win you R 1,000,000.
You could, of course, mix it all up with Yankees etc., to ensure that ANY double, treble, quad etc., arriving would nett you money. But the bottom line is this :
YOU WILL NEVER GET HURT AT THESE ODDS.

Thanks for the input, Garrick.
As with your thread, you certainly do think big.
I took my R20 profit from wins on Forest Fashion in the first at Arlington and took
India (CricWC) x Sharks (S15) x South Africa (RWC) x Man Utd (Ch) @ 2640/1 for a potential R50k+ return.
I'll keep looking for opportunities to play doubles etc. into these events.
I'm happy with my bet on Man Utd to win the Premiership but small doubles onto Arsenal and Man City wouldn't hurt as cover.

For my 2 cents worth:
ICC Cricket World Cup: 15/2 Australia seems good value, better currently in the one day arena and always there for big tournaments.
Rugby World Cup: 9/10 New Zealand great value. Have the chockers tag but at home and with their depth will be hard to beat.
Super 15: Bulls 7/2. Difficult to assess with new structure, but have a tried and proven side and will go close again.
Champions League: Barcelona 19/10. Should win but won't put a straight bet at 19/10 as soccer always springs a surprise.
EPL: Man Utd 19/20. Seem to be doing what is needed to pick up the title. Is their's to lose.
Aussie Open Mens: Nadal 19/10. Has Fed's number and would make it a two horse race.
Aussie Open Ladies: Wozniacki 17/2 good value. It excellent form and not much to beat.
Met: Mother Russia 24/10. Last year's runner up, excellent prep. Only Run For It's unknown ability could upset.
What a sporting year awaits us. Cant wait for the 18th Feb when the Super 15 starts and next day ICC Cricket world cup start. Told my wife not to disturb me from the middle of Feb until mid July, wasn't impressed.
