I believe she lost the purse and the maiden condition as well. A double whammy.
Mike Azzie wanted me to change the name of the filly to My Brussie when I sent her to Neil Bruss.
Noway a name change is in order, but if it were to be contemplated, I like Robin Bruss' idea.
"Why not use a name that is uttered every Sunday in every country in the world?" he suggested. "All kneel."

yes considering she ran 2nd in 2 group ones she should have a merit rating of 74 instead of 94

I enjoyed the post race interview, in which my partner Anant Singh, in response to a comment referenced earlier by Neil Bruss, said "As he mentioned. . ."
What Iliked was Anant's intonation, as it sounded very much to me that he said "Azzie mentioned. . ."
Azzie Mentioned. . .has a nice ring to it.
Nice name for a future racehorse me thinks!
Doubt My Kazzie. . .excuse me...Mike Azzie would agree.

Well done, Barry. She was impressive, proving to be worth every pound of her 94 rating in the process.

She had certainly earned, and confirmed her ability....but repeating the original question....how is it possible to be disqualified from a race and yet keep it for record purposes...even stranger that Barry,as the owner, can't explain!

Yes, wins that are taken away on grounds of failing a specimens test still count insofar as the horse's eligibility for future races is concerned. It is a double whammy, but I guess it stops some bright spark (and I'm not referring to anybody specific) from juicing up the same horse to win ten maiden plates because it keeps getting disqualified. Obviously that person would be banned from racing long before it could even happen, but you get my point,
