Two wickets in the first two overs now to get Pant as an hour of his batting will turn the match in India’s favour

Yes, @cnc...it was you that called out the best in Pant !! Very good innings...credit where it's due...match would have been over today but for his runs...

He's dead on his feet currently...still has to keep wicket for about 60-70 overs unless SA collapse quicker than that...

212 to win...still in the balance...I'd do something strange...I'd open with van der Dussen and move Markram to 4 as neither are currently doing anything useful where they are...

Kohli is up to his tricks again trying to intimidate the 3rd umpire and the guys who work the DRS. He will soon be focusing his attention on the batsman by informing his bowlers to start a “conversation” with them. Slanging match coming up tomorrow morning as SA make their way to a series win

The wicket at Hobart is as green as a football pitch. If the rain stays away this could be a 2 day test with the Aussies already 4 down at “lunch” More fun and games when the lights come on

I see that these “quota” players are really holding SA back

Rabada leading wicket taker of the series
Peterson leading run maker of the series
Ngidi bowled his heart out
Bavuma batted with class and scored vital runs

Can we have some more of the same please.

Hashim Amla has spoken out before how difficult its for a person of colour to perform due to the pressure from their debut. If you dont perform then you a quota player. Merit should always be first. At the moment although not to everyone's liking Bavuma is the best captain although he maybe not an aggressive player in the ODI's

Going forward, the next Test series is in New Zealand. Markram spot will be scrutinised. Zubayr Hamza and Janneman Malan is waiting in the wings. Even Sarel Erwee in with a shout. Maharaj can travel but I would more likely, play 4 quicks, move Markram down and play one of the players mentioned above.

South Africa will always meet the quota target due to their bowlers. Alot of upcoming fast bowlers of colour.

The answer to England's Ashes woes....

The best thing was for English Cricket was to try and find a way for Novak Djokovic to open the batting....It took the Aussies almost 2 weeks to get him out....

Looks to me that there is not too much wrong with the pitch - so I think we may need every one of those runs - especially as out bowling seems a bit brittle - really not sure how Phehlukwayo can still be in the team; excellent effort by Bavuma and vd Dussen - I think I saw he's averaging in the 70s in ODIs
