He compunded the problem by giving incorrect info on documentation with respect to travel in 14 days prior to arrival in Aus...and then said it was "human error"...

Not supportive of the compulsory vaccination dictates but if the rules of the country are such that vaccination is required and other protocols need to be followed, then one needs to abide by them...

As an aside, another highly vaccinated (greater than 70%) country seeing a surge in new variant cases...and also an increase in hospitalisations...we, in South Africa, with about 30-35% "fully vaccinated" (based on two doses of Pfizer and one of J&J) have well passed our peak in respect of this wave and variant with test positivity rates declining daily...

"lucky loser" would have come through qualifying tournament and just missed out on automatic qualification so is one of the alternates...replaces Djokovic in the draw and not as No 1 seed...the highest seeded player is Danii Medvedev at No 2 and the seedings do not change...

The French Gov are not going to issue Novax with a visa to play in the French Open. Depending how the wind blows come Wimbledon this populist UK Gov will go.
