Pacman double claimed??????

After getting a call from my bookmaker about a horse that ive got an interest in tomorrow,i was astounded when he told me that their was a double claim ,from 10 into 7s,and again fro 7s into 9/2.To me that is a huge claim for whoever,especially as this horse has only won his maiden.Im peeved off about this,not that im going to retire in Hollywood if the horse wins,but for the sake off rumours that this is a good thing and that the owners could not get on first.

Still hope it wins for you zoro (tu) remember you are running for the stakes, the horse is public property same as Sea The Stars and JJ, but maybe a bit slower.

Called bookie just befor the off and he told me horse was 3.5/1 favourite,so it ran without my money. Still cannot believe the claims,so i guess some fingers got burnt today.

I'm confused. If someone fancies a 10/1 shot and wants to take 50 or 60 k of it - must they call the owners and check if it's alright with them ? Owners must get over the misconception that because they own a horse they own the price too. I own horses and if someone beats me to the price of my own horse good luck to them - IT'S A FREE MARKET !

Ruffian my point was that this horse never deserved to be claimed like a good thing as youve noticed,he is mediocre and so whoever is spreading the stories, is probably setting somebody up,and its not the first time eiether.It makes the owners feel like they are spreading stories about the horse being a bomb,which is not the case.So all im saying is, who is spreading stories on mediocre horses.If it had a reputation like JJ the Jet Plane it would be a different kettle of fish.

One must realise markets have changed - whoever claimed the 10/1 probably profited on the race. Was very easy to lay 5 and 6/1 off. These days a lot of people don't back horses because they think they are going to win, but because they think they will trade shorter. And they were spot on in this instance.
