UK Racing for FREE.

The problem is we already have it so "where do we go from here"?
Racing For Change hails free racing week success
THE Racing For Change-organised free racing week was deemed a success on Monday as it emerged nearly two-thirds of those taking advantageof free entry were new or occasional racegoers.
And in an apparent vote of confidence for British racing only one percent of those questioned said they would not return.
Nick Attenborough - Racing For Change
Racing For Change PR director Nick Attenborough: encouraged
Approximately 100 people were quizzed at each of the nine tracks participating and initial analysis of the data gathered were described by Racing For Change director Nick Attenborough as "very positive."
He said: "A little over 40,000 took up the free entry offer - out of 50,000 who went racing last week - which was very encouraging."
Early figures report 31 per cent were novice racegoers and 32 per cent were infrequent or lapsed racegoers - meaning that they went racing once or twice a year.
Attenborough said: "While it is quite nice to reward current customers, if it was just regular racegoers turning up it would obviously not have fulfilled the objectiveof the week - so to get over 60 per cent of racegoers who were not regulars was hugely encouraging.
While provisional results suggest over half of those quizzed were ‘very likely' to return, Attenborough urged caution when interpreting the feedback.
He said: "We are waiting on full racegoer reactions and obviously there may be some negatives. But one must be cautious: if you ask people whether they will give up smoking most people will say they are likely to do so, because people tend to give more positive answers than is actually true."
