CURTAIN CLOSES ON LAST DAY YEARLING SALES.
15 years 1 month ago
Congrats to all friends, enemies and bloodbrothers that bought horses on the National Sales, know doubt some nice horse flesh was viewed, and a couple of nice bargains were struck, the big question is."If it was not for the 2 record purchase prices paid by Azzie/Woodruff would the sales have reached such high averages?

I guess of any of the ABC readers could count they could come up the answer to that probing question.

B)The much more probing question is how many of the prices right across the board were totally genuine and how many were bullsh!t. Some of the buyer/vendor combinatioos have to make you wonder, but that is normal for the NYS.

I certainly didn't coz I bought nothing. All I brought home were mud splattered shoes and pants. I escaped without pneumonia and without a horse. I consider it a win!

The next question that jumps to my mind, is how many of these horses are going to get to a racetrack,4 million rand or less.
