Some interesting facts revealed by Phumelela

Given the general unhappiness with the facilities at retail tote outlets I find the facts given that 80% of tote turnover comes through these outlets revealing. Is this the way to treat your regular customers or is it taken for granted that they will just turn up anyway.

I was going to start a new thread but this seems apt. Can anyone help me understand why race meetings in the GC region has reduced. Is this another one of those contractual arrangements or is GC going belly up?
Are we following SA politics and being forced into situations we dont want to be in by just accepting? Perhaps we will be forced to make JHB the capital of racing! I have to laugh at "the richest race day in Africa". Who benefits from the richest race day in Africa? Oh thats it, owners trainers and jockey's. If it were the richest punting day in Africa, perhaps then we would see the crowds. Dont believe that this day will come close to the amount of cash that the Met and July generate.
Dream on P. There can only be one racing capital and that is KZN. Perhaps that is why you have to resort to a Mugabe style takeover.

I find it interesting that "Betting World" is seen by "P" as its flagship of development in the foreseeable future.......could it be,that as an investment,it is least influenced by "P" management ?.......makes sense to me !
However, interesting that on Sat 17 April, although TAB published their "free" TAB sheets for Ayr and Bangor,"Betting World" were not taking bets.......typical co-operation of Assoc. Cos. No problem...........Betfair was alive and well!
It is no wonder local racing is farked.

I think that there is more than this one question that needs to be answered.
What was the outcome of the Nairac audit?
Why did he leave?
Why are GC regions hosting so few meetings?
Why are their so few Greyville night meetings?
Will we see a reduction in owners in the Cape due to lack of meetings?
Did BM see the writing on the wall and pack up for greener pastures?
Is a merge a heathy situation?
What happened to the transformation fund?
What happend to transformation?
and on and on and on
