I hope Tellytrack put on a decent show today, although I'm not holding my breath as with so many meetings today we'll be lucky to see a split screen of the Dubai action.
These are my selections for Dubai today:
3:20 Al Quoz Sprint Sponsored By Emirates NBD (Group 3) (Turf) 6f
War Artist 10-1
Credible grade 1 performer in a weak field.
3:55 Godolphin Mile Sponsored By Etisalat (Group 2) (Tapeta) 1m
Skysurfers 6-1
Desert Party is the big Danger but Skysurfers looks a little overpriced.
4:35 UAE Derby Sponsored By The Saeed & Mohammed Al Naboodah Group (Group 2) (Tapeta) 1m1f110y
Musir 12-10
Classy colt bred to southern hemisphere time looks home and hosed.
5:15 Dubai Golden Shaheen Sponsored By Gulf News (Group 1) (Tapeta) 6f
One World 10-1
Rocket Man will be tough to beat but consistent form behind Sacred Kingdom makes price worth chancing.
5:55 Dubai Duty Free Sponsored By Dubai Duty Free (Group 1) (Turf) 1m1f
Good Ba Ba 7-1
Presvis is the obvious selection but does need things to go his way so with a good draw I'll side with the next best horse as a tentative selection.
6:35 Dubai Sheema Classic Sponsored By Guangsha Group (Group 1) (Turf) 1m4f11y
Dar Re Mi 9-1
Probably the race with the most strength in depth on the night and the classy filly gets the nod, but only just.
7:45 Dubai World Cup Sponsored By Emirates Airline (Group 1) (Tapeta) 1m2f
Red Desire 7-1
Won his prep easier than the margin suggests, with doubts over Vision D'etat and little other class to account for the Japanese filly makes the most appeal. Gitano Hernando has solid claims but 5-1 doesn't offer much value in this field.
Anyway good luck to the SA connections and to the yidishe yank Barry!

I guess even good jocks have bad days!!!!
How Rocket Man got beaten I have no idea..............But the Americans have come away with it again!
Stiffs to Pat Shaw and Mr. Crabbia!

Precous Passion will hit the front early and lead by a long way and coming into the straight will be at least 6 lengths to the good. Can Youzaim catch him. Gone for a box exacta and wins on both

I think Precious Passion might just run out of puff....I don't think he sees out 2400m. At least a place chance though!

How stiff is that? I backed Lizards Desire at 70-1, MDK and Shea must be sick...
