Calling Shaheen on "most backed horses"?
15 years 3 months ago
Good evening Shaheen
Its just a question, you always refer to "most backed horses" and you say eg 700 bets.
Who are these bets taken with bookies, totes, exchanges?
Plus if you have 700 bets, are they at R10 each or a R1,000 each?
Its no trick question, just want to understand the importance or relevance of the information?
txs

Hi Dave,
www.racingpost.co.uk , have a betting site where they report on ' The most backed horses ' as well as ' Market Movers '. Only reason I mention these two is to give the punter only armed with a free tabsheet some guidance as to what's happening in the betting market. At times the info is fairly useful but obviously not always on the mark. Don't know how it's all put together but if you only armed with a free tabsheet and no UK Computaform or Timeform racecard any extra info can only help.

Thanks Shaheen understand where you are coming from, well done.
With guys with a bit more info than the free tab sheet, was just thinking that you have 700 punters in the Newcastle pub having 10 quid each on Geordieland and Harry Findlay comes in and has "one" bet on the fav an even 30 grand
Which one is the most backed horse?
lol

Another thing you have to remember with these "most backed" horses sections in the Racing Post and other websites.
It`s usually the bookies reporting early money for tipster`s horses and imo they are trying to attract money, and as Barney Curley would say "they won`t lay 2 bananas to 1 banana"
