RAD,
Keep your head up my friend, that was not his run. EVERYTHING went wrong.
As long as he is sound and ok ater the race, thats the most important part, he will be back!!!
Heroldt seems to have gone backwards at a rate of knots of late. He is making te absolute worst decisions and does not ride to instructions............
Perhaps a wee suspention will bring him back down to earth??

I'm not pointing fingers but maybe it's time the NHRA came down harder on cowboy riding, though in this case Herholdt's horse is inexperienced and maybe raced green?

What I cannot really understand is why did the starter not let them run and then scratch DJ as it was his pens that opened earlier! This way no drama would have occurred and Rad would be happier now! What crap!

Greg, did you watch the actual race and what unfolded...?
My expectation was that the starter would let them run and then scratch DJ (make it a non-runner) and avoid all of the drama...
If the horses were fit, why did they scratch Dancing Kiwi from all of this?

Tommy what do you suggest? I was thinking perhaps the NHRA should impose fines on those responsible if horses are scratched because of getting away at the start, being held up in stalls, breaking free on the way down to the start etc - obviously only if the person is negligent - affects our bets big time.

Don't forget there is a very strong head wind buffeting
the horses down the straight, so it might not be all the
jockeys fault!

Come on, dont give me that crap that it was never a jockey's fault... If not then what are they doing on top of the horses? Checking the scenery?
As a punter only, such scenes are never nice to see but I can only see them happening in South Africa, on a daily basis...

Mr. H, not sure there is a solution.
There are always mitigating circuimstances in every situation but tere seems to be an awful lot of funny business happening down at the starts in all te venues, nobody is immune.
As for Mr, Heroldt.......It all seems a little dubious to me, and if you know me from my postings here you know that I'm not a conspiracy teorist......far from it, but this stinks to high heaven.
Newturf, could you comment on the greeness of Classic Lecture?
