Interesting result to the Met.
1. Only two fillies (ok, females) in the race and they run 1-2. Brilliant for River who was well backed in the end, and great performance from Mother R who only lost by half a length giving 3lbs and 1 wfa.
2. PP still ran the highest/best rating, no matter how you slice it.
3. The most amazing improvement had to be Fort Vogue, within a length of River & Mother and a sh/hd off PP (receiving only 5 lbs), unbelievable.
4. Jhb horses a bit disappointing (mmm... don't consider Mother R a Jhb horse yet), especially Dan De Lago who talked himself into main contender status. Something must be up.
5. Bass & MdK clearly a league clear of the rest. Bass can deliver on the big days and his horses just keep on improving, and De Kock can deliver anywhere...no excuses.
6. Honorable mention to little Fabiani (at least he looks little to me but it doesn't show in his results).
