First Point R.A have not kept a low profile we just not come out publicly that we have been at Phumelela bashing it done for answers and asking for the tote debacle to be sorted out or to do the explaning to what is going on we were instrumental in them Making a statement a month ago on the tote and the findings They have given us the same answers as to what they went public with . However we have not accepted this and we have called for a meeting which is to take place on monday with the GRoup CEO AS WE HAVE KEPT RECORDS AND INVESTIGATED AND ANALYSED WHT THEY HAVE SAID AND COMPARED TO OUR RECORDS and we are not satisfied . We are not in a prepared to go public with this until we can prove our facts are or they prove otherwise we have not just accepted the explanation handed down .In Nov when a trifecta paid R1200 and the quartet paid R350 with in minutes after the punters and our selves were fobbed offr the the normal Manner by the tote management and the paid was official Three hours later it was changed to R11 000 we do not go public and tell everbody what the R.A has done there is lot we do behind the scenes .

Race Programming
As far as the Concern of Heinz Kruger i feel and am suffering personally under the same issues that he does this does not mean that this should make him feel better this programming issue and cancelled or abandoned meetings was addressed and is an ongoing problem and fight that the R.A. has taken up and continues to fight .We as the R.A. are represented on this programming committee by 3 trainers as we believe that no director is qualified and has the the experience to serve on this committee . They are Brett Warren Joe Soma and St G GRAY . In Sept when Phumelela agreed to 3 meetings a week we thought that over a time the programming and congestion would sort it self so we all agreed to let this run to the new year and then revisit the programming .The issue about cancelled and abandoned raises issues with an agreement between Gold Circle and Phumelela which the R.A. is addressing this . If Heinz Kruger is referring to P.E. THEN THE PROGRAMMING comm consists of Gavin Smith Luciano Alan Greef Gavin Venter Patrick Davies I will be holding a urgent meeting with all Stakeholders in Port Elizebeth over 2 days on the 15/16 Feb to adress issues to do with the Eastern Province contrary to certain peoples belief This province and all centres are important to the success of our racing industry . I will under to personally adress these issues whic are frustrated our owners and our trainers and our punters which are the life blood of our industry

My sincere thanx Dave and reading the above i appreciate the fact that MR.Weinstein is putting in an effort to resolve the problem. Its hard to fight Phumelela but at least he is trying and seeing it from an owners perspective...

The question is, will these words lead to any action? And why not 'go public' by at least issuing some sort of 'we are investigating - watch this space' press release (or on their website)?

If Phum are not listening or bullying you guys please call on some of us for help. Dont just think that they have the rich boys on board so they can push you around..there are several of us in maybe even stronger positions but dont blow our trumpets in the press as much.

Please I urge you to open up to us RA members the stakes agreement

We also want to know what plans Phum have going forward for racing so we can decide on our racing positions here vs other countries.

You know yr brother Ricky and I are very good friends and I dont want my urging to interfere with our friendship. You guys need help..stop trying to take the pressure on yr own shoulders..we are here to help in any way we can

Please brother the transparency is not there right now and we need to fight for it.
