I must admit Neil has really come of age since moving from Cape Town to Gauteng, then i must admit i also find it hard to find winners in the Cape, but he has really become a likeable studio presenter of late and boy does he pick them when they go down...

He picked both Slumdog,Chou Chou Wooga and a few others today on the way down...

Furthermore he impressed me with mentioning that he knew about a few doubles running with Slumdog onto the DJ so obviously he has his ears and eyes on the right sights & forums...Nice to mention that to the public and show them the light...[don't know if he is part of our forum??]

Anyway i'm a big Shaheen fan but i think in Neil, Shaheen & Julie we got a great professional team up here on the highveld...

Sorry can't agree with you, Neil on a personal level is probably not a bad guy and he certainly is passionate about what he does, however that doesn't make him a good presenter in my eyes and especially my ears !!

As for Shaheen he's certainly improved tremendously on Tellytrack although his race calling is still pretty poor especially when it comes to assessing how horses are travelling during the race.

As for Julie, well I think she's okay to look at but pretty useless otherwise and not a rocket scientist by any means...

Just my response..

For me Neil is a decent presenter and has certainly improved since his CT days, but I wouldn't say tipping is his game.

Shaheen is a top class presenter, but I would leave the commentating to the pro's if I were him.

I think the comment about Julie is off the mark, she provides a different angle to the other presenters coming from a decent stable and in my book she's actually one of the better presenters around.

In respect of the overseas racing I don't think any of them do enough homework...

I disagree with you about Neil. His enthusiasm and innovations during UKinternational racing is a breath of fresh air. I am sure the pools have increased dramatically since his involvment with teletrack and that will add to the coffers which is great for sa racing.

Neil can go over the top a bit in the studio, but the man can pick a horse going down to the start.
