Anton Marcus - Suspension

Could you guys answer me the following question.

Anton Marcus was suspended for his DIABOLICAL ride on Flying Tristram a few weeks ago. He started to serve his 2 week suspension at the beginning of this past week.....

How come he was able to ride one horse today?

Could someone tell me what the ruling is regarding suspensions and riding during those suspensions?

if you have accepted to ride in a group race you are allowed to take up the ride

Pirates is right but the exception only applies to Gr 1 races, I think, and not Gr 2 or 3's.

That's what the rule book says...

91.4.2 RULE 96.2 shall commence not later than the eighth day following the day
on which the RIDER concerned is advised of the suspension, unless the
RIDER elects to take such suspension earlier provided that if the RIDER
has carded rides he shall only take the suspension from the day following
the RIDER'S last engagement as published in the RACE CARD covering
that engagement;
except in the case of Grade 1 RACES, where a RIDER can prove to the
satisfaction of the SB that he has been engaged to RIDE a particular HORSE
in a Grade 1 RACE, then the RIDER may ride in the RACE MEETING featuring
that Grade 1 RACE and an additional day will be added to the RIDER'S
suspension. The determination of the additional RACE day will be at the sole
discretion of the SB.

The info I got was that Marcus took another 5 days suspension so he could ride Mother Russia cause he rated her a cert, she won , he gets more holiday time and pocket money to boot.
