Just heard Mr Robert Maroun passed away in his sleep last night - RIP Legend trainer condolences to the family

One of the most colourful people I have ever met in racing. He could speak "tsotsi taal" fluently, and used to regalle us with all his racing stories, from the old days, in the jockey room. Once when we sneaked onto his track at his farm near Randjes,on an outride, he shot as us with his shot gun!!! We laughed at it afterwards... But there was a sign that said "trespassers on the track will be shot"!!! LOL
RIP Mr Maroun, you will be missed...

Eish man what a luvly guy..well one good thing he gets to see Buddy again which is a good thing..wishes to his family..they been thru a lot over the last couple yrs and very nice people!
