Sasky,lots of opinions and posters who say they know the facts....i believe theres time for a youngster like richard to go trav elling once he has some more experience.

Why are most people focussing on the irrelevant trivial gossip and hear say about what basil marcus has decided to do.Why not focus on the positives for SA racing that can come out of his move to Singapore?
He is taking mainly locally bred horses over there...the likes of Kahal,Jet Master,Nyasean,Surging River,Caesour,Victory Moon,Qui Danzig,Labeeb,Tamburlaine,Capt Al etc etc etc.
We all love watching SA bred horses race overseas starting with London News in the 90's and of late the likes of Victory Moon,Kapil,Tiza,Jay Peg,JJ The Jet Plane and others.What a thrill it will be to watch "SA" horses racing regularly on a fri and sun at Kranji....
Remember one thing ,basil doesnt have to make this sacrifice and move for the money, he is doing it for the passion and love of horse racing.

I'm sure no one is debating what an incredible feat it is to transfer his yard to an international racing destination.

Baseless rumours are obviously uncalled for however I think its only natural for racing enthusiasts to be interested in the exploits of one of our top jocks and trainers.
