Well done to the Stipes!

This is one of the reasons why punters are not getting into the game, actually moving away!

How the hell did they upheld such an objection?

Last saturday at Turffontein there was lots of contact on Race 3 between Luger and Donnington Park... Not even a call for race review...!

Today there was no contact and the result is upheld...

This makes me wonder if I really want to spend my money on this game!

I suppose the boys that backed the 1 got their money! Well done to them!

And yes, I am speaking from my pocket! I lost a vast amount of money including doubles and trebles because of this amended result

Only the soft rules of SA racing lead to such results...

The same when it is raining and the "prima donnas" do not want to race...

Felini - just because you lost money doesn't make the Stipes decision wrong. As I said in my previous post they've got much better patrol videos than what we see on teletrack - have you seen these? If not then I suggest you keep quiet. I've been in a similar position when one of my horses has been seemingly interfered with but no action was taken, but I've accepted the rub of racing. Just bear in mind that a race review was called by the Stipes before an objection was lodged, so some incident was evident at the 300 metre mark. I believe the Stipe's deciding factor was the short head distance at the post with Rapid Flow running on strongly in the last 150 metres.

Brian, yes, I have seen those patrol videos from all possible angles...

You cannot tell me that a horse carried out 300m out is the reason for uphelding an objection. But this is racing.

Why dont they call an objection with 50m to go on race 3 at Turffontein last saturday?

How about explaining why Pierre Jourdan's previous win was given on an upheld objection that no one saw any contact?

My only complain is that the rules in SA are too soft, never follow the same decisions, etc.

Interesting that the trainer called the objection, surely the stipes would of seen the interference and objected??

I see they started loading for the 6th before all the horse were at the start!!!

Will an enquiry be raised?

What was the outcome of the enquiry to the starter in Gauteng that saw young David breaking his leg and missing out on Pierre Jourdan last Thursday?

So much for openess and transparency in this game...

The race has been run over 10 minutes ago, no results yet available on the tote

Felini - I didn't watch the race you are referring to, so obviously cannot comment.

Gregbucks - the Stipes called for a race review bfore the trainer of Rapid Flow lodged an objection.

Gentlemen, I suggest if you don't like the SA racing scene, then you punt on the UK races (which I do - jackpots only) where it seems that even if the Stipes raise an inquiry into the running of a race, the result across the line still stands, whilst the jockeys involved may get nailed with suspensions.

Hibby - am I correct?

Hi guys. Not to promote hollywood, but felini if you took your bets with hollywood and your horse wins afterwards lose on objection then you get a full refund of your stake money. They also have something like that for places if your horse runs forth in I think a 15 horse race. Maybe david greet can shed some light on some of these bets.

I would like to commend James Goodman. Yesterday was the first time I listened to his Podcast and he really did well on last night's card. His best bet for the evening was Chic Happens in the first who was at 7/2 at the time of selection. Nice value for best bet on card with several short priced favorites.
