Backed 5, 5 wins now the race is abandoned - why bother?

When I seen the post, thought it was a call for Delboy and Rodders, but have to say all the best to Dean, beats Ngong.

Hello Dave
After a pretty reasonable start with our first 4 races going off fairly well, I too was horrified and saddened at the poor showing and execution of the harness race on Friday night. No excuses! Unfortunately this discipline requires considerable skills of horsemanship and a definite ability to anticipate, and I am afraid that much more training and experience on the part of these new drivers is warranted. The Swedes have promised us a replacement trainer for Johan Nilsson in the next 3 weeks which hopefully will go some way towards this endeavour, and Johan too has promised to be back with us in January.
On a brighter note I am currently away in an icy Stockholm, attending their Kriterium Auction and to be present for our big "SA Theme Day" being held at Solvalla, Sweden's biggest track, on Saturday. Much in the same vein as Racing South Africa holds their Newmarket race-meeting, Sweden has given us a similar 3 year program, which this year looks to be a spectacular event. We have 5 races sponsored on the day, wine tastings, an exhibition display, lectures on various topics and the presence of the SA Ambassador to officiate.
The overall resolve of the Swedish trotting community to assisting our start-up in SA is remarkable and encouraging for me.
Will give you a fuller account after I return.
Brgds
