Scotia's special day at the big "T"

Must say Guys, had a good day at the track Yesterday.
Was taken for a proper tour of the facilities by Vee Moodley HRA and Peter Naidoo RA
The chaps do a thorough job, the tour was given a briefing of all the aspects to run a successful raceday, and it was extremely impressive, even for an old racegoer like me.
Given a full rundown of the weighing in and weighing out procedures
Passports for the horses, markings and identification process.
Took a photo of the number one box to show Clan Classique what it looks like
Jockeys and trainers discuss race tactics
Horses milling around at the start
Preparing to load the horses
Almost ready for the off
A great finish, with the fav getting up to win it.
Clyde Basel calling the race
The stipes board room, viewing the race from 7 different angles in real time slow motion replays (if that makes sense)
was hoping for a bit drama with the race we watched, but a good clean race was witnessed before the all clear given.
Margaret with her customer care ladies, these are the ladies on the end of the phones working in the tab agencies that had never been to the track before
and tell me they get dogs abuse over the phone about jockeys and trainers performances, should have told them I have a racing forum that caters and welcomes this type of abuse.
End of the day a great experience and well worth an HRA/RA tour even for the seasoned racegoers.
