It takes different skills to get a business off the ground...than to keep the business running...
in time...new skills will be required to prevent the business from stagnating..
all got to do with the boardroom mix P.A.E.I skills..which is the strongest...a good mix is required..
P=produce..brick layer...give him a plan..material..he will keep building...no care about money in the bank..
A=administrative..accountant..checks and balances..processes..fire all..put money in the bank..live off interest...
E=entrepuneural...new idea's..new ventures..if left to him..each day a new venture..no money...
I=Inter personal skills....marketing..branding..staff happy...customers happy..if left to him...life long party...
no person posses all the skills..
need 4 or multiples of 4 in a board room..
equal mix of the above skills..
industrial espionage...recruit someone from the opposition boardroom..disturb the balance..then they become targets for takeover..
JAPANESE companies are strong today...operate on this pricipal..
NEDCOR went to study this in the late 80's..
nearly took over standardbank with this concept in the 90's..
nedbank far smaller than standard bank..
Phumelela need to keep the balance....????
