In order to quash various rumours, Phumelela would like to assure horseracing fans that the installation of floodlights at Turffontein is underway and that the project is on schedule.
The installation of the lights is taking place with the required regulatory approval and it is currently planned to have the first races under lights at the Charity Mile November Handicap race meeting on Turffontein’s standside track on Saturday 7th November.
