Vaal sand is not my favourite centre by a long way,but maybe I can spot some value for you here.Play to small stakes though,the sand is far too dangerous to get too involved in.

race3:Bien looks underrated @ 82.I expect it to win,but 4-10 is not my game.Farewell Dance may improve to run into the money off an 86 rating.

race5:Big John is a big ew price in my book.There are very few real chances in this field of 14 and 14-1 looks big to me for a horse who's form has been a bit skewed by his last 2 runs over a mile which are too far for him.He is moderate,so I'm not saying he will win,but the price is too big.

race8:Although this looks a really tough race,I fancy Eradikate a bit @ the juicy 25-1 on offer.There are many chances here,but this horse shows speed and she was beaten by a subsequent easy winner last time.Jordaan rides it now,which is not ideal,but there are worse -4 appies around so I'm prepared to speculate small money @ the price.

race9:I think Tana looks an attractive bet here @ 4-1.I think this race is decidedly thin,she runs well for Strydom and I think the handicapper has made an error in rating her off her previous sand rating of 67 as opposed to her higher grass rating.
