We are not talking about Delboy, wonder if we have one if it will end up on the Promanade?
Its not Shergar, but an interesting story.
Kidnapped trotting champ found in Italy
Italy: A trotting champion who was kidnapped last year has been found safeand well - running loose on the beach at Licola, not far from Naples, on Saturday morning.
The nine-year-old Daguet Rapide won 19 of his 30 races and was the champion of Italy in 2003 and 2004, in the process earning nearly €1.4million. He won the Derby del Trotto in Rome in 2003.
Daguet Rapide, who is currently tenth on the trotting sires' list in Italy, was one of three stallions at his part-owner Marco Folli's stud at Mordano, near Imola, when he was kidnapped on the night of June 16 last year.
Bologna police who investigated the incident believed that at least four people were involved and that they tranquilised the horse before taking him. Stud staff and neighbours heard nothing.
The kidnappers demanded a ransom but it has been reported that the partners refused to pay.
Frozen semen from the horse, whose 2008 stud fee was Euro10,500, has been available for €15,000 during his absence.
Licola is the same beach where another kidnapped trotter Iglesias was found early last month. He had been taken from a local stable on March 25.
