OWNER OF THE YEAR?

When assessing true performance for this award, we should start looking at ROI possibly?
Take the Jooste horses running today at Greyville - just checked quickly - picked up 8 of them running in the green, black and yellow silks. Total published purchase price ZAR1,8 million plus AUD 2,5 million - total cost approx ZAR 17,8 million at current rates.
Between them they have earned R3,8 million to date and had a blank day today.
Without taking paddock value into account(2 of the 8 only are filles) what sort of sense does this make? Even the super rich surely have some form of plan when lashing out money like this?

He has had a great season and deserves the accolades.
Plattner
Van Niekerk
Oppenheiemer
Need to review their strategies.
Roy Moedley, Jaffees, Fielddspring seem to be lestening their strings.
Team Valor has some nice horsies. specially with Azzie. Wait and see.
Shirtliff had a good season.
We need new blood along with the newbies.
Uncle mo just take our horsies to Dubai along with his good ones.

New blood unlikely in the current economic climate.
Plattner has been a real survivor without much success in latter years
Zuma would be a good start possibly- should get Bruss to approach him?
