CHOKERS AGAIN

Chokers again......its unbelievable how we manage to screw it all up when we have the trophy up for grabs......where were the pinch hitters when we were 2 wickets down????

Dissapointing result, Afridi was the difference. Unfortunately the Brilliant Pakistan showed up on the day.

Duminy was far too slow putting too much pressure on Kallis and the following batsmen. Before the last over, when the game was already lost, he had 29 off 33 balls.

They set the game up perfect,but never changed gear!

Same old story, brilliant in all previous games,then hit pap wiel when they must win.

Fair play to the Pakistani's guys - they played the best 'defensive' game I've seen in a looooooong time!

Excellent bowling and tremendous fielding - the best team won on the day fair and square.

I think for once in the tournament our spinners let us down - they conceded too many runs on a pitch that suited spin bowling and off course the nature of the game is that one guy can win it - and last night if was Afridi. Yes Duminy was slow and sending in vd Merwe or Morkel in when Gibbs went out might have changed the result, but there was some quality bowling from the Paki's; I think the main problem was that we let them get 15 runs too many.

They'll have another chance to choke come September, Champions Trophy!!!...In between we'll be the best team in the world!!!

What I fail to understand...
The captain, can he do sums....yes sums...not mathematics...just plain sums...
once he knew how many runs was required to win, could he not do the sums, and see that his team was not hitting the required runs to make the sums work....
If your team members cannot hit runs, don't send them in...send in the tail-enders that understand 6 or nix...

to me, either he did not want to win...or they need someone that passed grade 2 sums...
