Entry fees may cost Presvis trip to America
USA: Presvis, who bagged connections over £200,000 when second in the Singapore Airlines International Cup on Sunday, may be ruled out of a trip to America for the Breeders’ Cup Classic after trainer Luca Cumani revealed on Monday entry fees for the Santa Anita meeting might be, ironically, too expensive.
Despite winning over £1 million in prize-money since embarking on his worldwide tour which included trips to Dubai and Hong Kong before Sunday’s defeat, Presvis could return to the far east for an autumn campaign after all well-earned rest back in Newmarket.
Speaking on Monday, Cumani said: “He’ll have a break now and maybe the Breeders’ Cup, it would suit him but the only thing would be it is very expensive to enter [$100,000] . He could go back to Hong Kong and we could go for the Japan Cup.”
