RoyalAscot set to be a stage for all the world
HORSES from eight nations have been entered for the two Group 1 sprints at Royal Ascot with the potential runners headed by Australia's two top speedsters and Hungary's equine hero Overdose.
Former Royal Ascot victor Takeover Target and Australia's rising star Scenic Blast have both been entered for the 6f Golden Jubilee Stakes with Scenic Blast set to start his British mission in the 5f King's Stand Stakes.
Overdose, who strolled home on his weekend reappearance, could be joined in the international onslaught by Hong Kong duo Inspiration and Tuscan Spirit, American stablemates Cannonball and Regardlessofoutcome and South African stars J J The Jet Plane and Mythical Flight.
Yeats remains on course to bid for turf immortality after being entered for the Gold Cup. Among those who could seek to prevent him winning the marathon for a record fourth time are Godolphin's Caulfield Cup winner All The Good and top-class French hurdler Kasbah Bliss.
Breeders' Cup Turf and St Leger winner Conduit is one of 35 entries for the Prince Of Wales's Stakes.

Hungarian star Overdose to be based with Perrett
OVERDOSE, the Hungarian superstar whose career is taking on Seabiscuit proportions, is to be based with Amanda Perrett when campaigned in Britain this summer.
The four-year-old sprinter, who has been nicknamed the 'Budapest Bullet', is set to arrive at Pulborough early next month and will first be targeted at the Betfred.com Temple Stakes at Haydock before going on to Royal Ascot and then the July Cup.
Although owner Zoltan Mikoczy and trainer Sandow Ribarszki would not have been short of offers from British yards keen for the reflected glory of boarding Overdose, their friendship with a key member of Perrett's staff made the choice of stable in Britain an easy decision.
Amanda Perrett: 'very excited' about having Overdose at the yard
Perrett explained: "Ladislav Kubista, who has worked with us for the last six-eight years and is one of our head grooms, is great friends with Overdose's owner and trainer and that is how the association came about.
"They came over and saw us earlier in the year, and we talked to the BHAS about the possibilities of it, and we are very excited about having the horse."
Overdose was bought cheaply at Newmarket Sales in 2006, but since winning Group races in Italy and Germany last year has become regarded as a beacon of hope in tough economic times in Hungary.
More than a third of the country's population watched on television at the weekend when, under new jockey Christophe Soumillon, he took his unbeaten run to 12 with an eight-length victory in the Hungarian Grand Prix over 5f in front of more than 20,000 racegoers at Kincsem Park.
However Perrett does not anticipate Overdose will be routinely exercising with her string during his stay in Sussex.
She said: "The girl who looks after him will come over, and as I understand it, she will be responsible for his training. He will obviously be able to work with us if he needs to, but I think he is very much an individual horse that does most of his work on his own."

Fleeting Spirit heading straight to Royal Ascot
FLEETING SPIRIT is set to make her seasonal bow in the King's Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot after connections decided to skip a prep run.
The four-year-old, who was last seen finishing fourth at the Breeders' Cup meeting, had been pencilled in for the Betfred.com Temple Stakes - a race she won impressively in 2008.

Ascot bid: Jeremy Noseda
However, trainer Jeremy Noseda is happy to head straight to Royal Ascot for the Group 1 on June 16, a race in which she finished third last year.
The trainer told jeremynoseda.com: "We have had a discussion and decided to head straight to the King's Stand with Fleeting Spirit.
"We felt that as she put up such a huge effort first time out last season, we would keep her in reserve to make her first start of this season at Ascot. It is a positive decision to take that course of action.
"She has just done her first easy piece of work and I am very happy with her."

HUNGARIAN wonder horse Overdose may miss the Betfred.com Temple Stakes at Haydock Park on May 23 due to a foot injury.
Trainer Sandor Ribarszki said the sprinter, nicknamed the Budapest Bullet, was undergoing treatment for "an inflammation" to the same left fore foot from which he lost a shoe during his latest win in the Hungarian Grand Prix in Budapest last month.
According to owner Zoltan Mikoczy, Overdose had worked well on Saturday but on Sunday evening he was found in his box standing on only three legs.
"On inspection he was found to have strong pain in his shin," he said. "We called the vet straight away and his shoe was removed. He was given an injection and medication to reduce the inflammation.
"The treatment will take one or two days to be effective and we will be in a better position then to make a decision about future running plans. We have sent the entry off to Haydock as today is the deadline for the race."
Mikoczy said the cause of the problem is still unknown, though the inflamed foot is the same one from which Overdose lost his plate during hislatest spectacular victory in the Hungarian Grand Prix in Budapest last month.
In addition to the Temple Stakes at Haydock, Overdose is also entered in two races at Royal Ascot in June - the King's Stand Stakes and the Golden Jubilee for which he has been installed as favourite - and the July Cup at Newmarket.
Overdose was among 27 entries revealed for the Group 2 event along with Saturday’s impressive Palace House Stakes winner Amour Propre.
